Thusharagiri Waterfalls
The set of beautiful cascades forming Thusharagiri waterfalls is located in the hill ranges of Western Ghats, east of Kozhikode. Of these multiple, the first three are within the 500 metres and easy to reach. They are Earattumukku, Thanni Mutassi and Mazhavil Chattam Falls. The next one Thumpi Thullum Para Waterfall, is about 1 km into the woods. there are a couple more waterfalls deep into the forest, within 5kms.
Hike through dense evergreen forest itself is hard not to mention climbing steep rocks. Possibility of sudden encounter with wild animals adds an extra dimension of risk. As a result, enjoying the beauty of the two topmost waterfalls are limited to the very few, who are ready to take the extra miles.

Kappad Beach
Kappad Beach, locally known as Kappakadavu is situated at a distance of 18 km from Calicut City, best known for sandy shores and historical significance. The beach is marked in the pages of history as the place where Vasco Da Gama, the Portuguese navigator landed in the year 1498.The beach has a rocky headland which gives great views of the surrounding coast and a walk through the beach could gift you with a memorable and mesmerizing experience. A visit to the 800 year old temple nearby could give your visit a finishing pilgrim touch. Overall the beach of Kappad is a peaceful place with stunning views of the sea where you could just relax and get refreshed.
For those who care to have a boat trip, houseboats and motorboats are available at 16kms down the coast on the Korapuzha River.
